At the UNC Chapel Hill Hussman School of Journalism and Media, I completed MEJO 182, a graphic design course focused on developing visual communication skills using Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

Web Design, Development & UX/UI

At the UNC Chapel Hill Hussman School of Journalism and Media, I completed MEJO 187, 487, and 581, a series of interactive media and UX/UI courses where I worked with Figma, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Adobe Illustrator.

Social Media

I have created a range of social media content for UNC’s School of Information and Library Science as well as various athletic teams, producing posts for Instagram, X, and TikTok using Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud.

About:

My name is Presley Johnson! I am a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am double majoring in media and journalism in the Hussman School of Journalism and Media and information science in the School of Information and Library Science.

My biggest passion is traveling. This is inspired from my American, Canadian and Portuguese roots. I don't have any family in the United States, all of my family lives in Canada and Portugal. A majority of my family resides in Nazaré, Portugal. Nazaré is a small fishing town that was recently put on the map for the world-record-breaking waves surfed on the North Shore.

I have played soccer my whole life, since the age of 3. I currently serve as the Vice President for the UNC Club Soccer team.

I am passionate about the intersection of design and technology. I would like to explore a career in UX/UI design, web design, front-end development or graphic design.
